How not to interview people of international stature part 2

"Hello Andrew Hood speaking"

"Hi Andrew it's PJ from winepunters here I wanted to organise an interview with you"

"No worries I have heard so much about you and your fabulous website. You are incredibly well respected in the industry and I can't wait to talk to you"

(Hang on a minute, that's not how it went! .... this is what really happened - Ed)

"Hello Andrew Hood speaking"

"Hi Andrew it's PJ from winepunters here I wanted to organise an interview with you"

"Ok no problems, I have someone coming from overseas so can we make it next week?"

"Happy to fit in with you Andrew I am assuming we would come to see you at Wine Making Tasmania in Cambridge"

"Well you would be completely wrong, they are the competition!"

"Er ... oh that's right you are Frogmore Creek" .... embarrassed laugh then silence.

(Hmm this is going well - Ed)

So punters, unfortunately we have to report another PJ inspired professional fail. He has a way of embarrassing himself in front of the most well known people in the wine industry. In an effort to try to reduce the chance of this sort of thing happening again and improving his interview technique we made PJ ring our god, Andrew Denton, for some tips.

"Hi Andrew PJ here from Winepunters.com, sorry to hear about you and Jennifer. Look I have stuffed up again and need your advice"

"Who are you? How did you get my number? If you ring again I will call the police!"

(Hmm obviously not his day for talking to Andrews - Ed)

Thankfully Andrew Hood didn't appear to be offended and you will get to hear the results of our conversation with him during June. PJ has promised to be on his best behaviour but we are sending Michelle along to make sure.
